Unreal Horror Game Template

Hello,

I have created a project that can be used as a basis for your game idea. 

It's using version 5.1.1. It shouldn't be a problem to convert it to a higher version.

The template includes:

1) Movement system.

Programmed with the recommended by Epic "Enhanced Input Actions".

Crouching with a smooth transition, running. Jumping has also been added but needs to be enabled in the player character. (Variable "can Jump" in the Details Panel).

2) Interaction.

An example of use has been demonstrated on the flashlight. After interacting with the flashlight, it is removed and unlocks the use of the flashlight for our player.

I have also added an IES Profile to the flashlight, as well as a turning on effect (slow flickering).

3) Flashlight.

By default, the player must first find the flashlight in order to use it. To remove this, go into the blueprint of the player character, then look for the variable "hasFlashlight" and check the box.

4) Death Logic.

Added example of player death. After death we can choose to restart the level, leave to main menu or completely close the game.

5) Main Menu.

It contains four buttons: Play, Options, Credits, and Quit. Each button has been implemented.

6) In Game Menu.

Also consists of four buttons: Continue, Options, Quit To Main Menu, Quit To Desktop. Each button has been implemented.

7) Saving Options.

Player preferences are saving and loading properly.

I have included some sample options such as mouse sensitivity, invert Y axis, master volume and a couple of graphics settings.

8) Item Name On Hover.

Item name is showing up on the screen when player is looking at it within interaction range.

9) Doors.

Opening and closing, unlocking with correct key,  sounds, keys.
